The LNWR engine sheds follow the same theme as the signalboxes, they are of brick construction and are in a kit form to be able to set out your own configuration and size. The LNWR Sheds, Turntables & Watertowers kit 2 follows on from the LNWR Engine Shed kit released in the early part of 2010 and compliments this area of route building for the trainsimmer. The provocation of these is their use in Many Short Journeys and Absolute Reliability, which we are compiling for release at a later date. The models are base loosely around information from “British Railways Engine Shed – London Midland Matters, Irwell Press ISBN 1 871608 08 2. (I date my books when they come in to my possession on the inside first page, this one says I acquired it at the NRM York on the 18th April 1992 when we took the DOG 71000 there. Happy Days!)

Before you bash off with building/introducing the turntables into your works of art, please can you view the video tutorial on turntable installation, on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufI89LEevOg), this will give you all the parts to makeup the models and give you a sensible presentation in your routes.

These turntables are based on the well type and are 70, 60 and 55 foot lengths, the table tops are these lengths, but the game code believes they are longer than this allowing for overhang of the locomotive in a prototypal fashion. You should be able to get a class five just on to the 55ft and the 70 fits the big engines, so Hey! you can now turn all those big ones. You will need all the bits of rail and sleepers to fill the gap and the borders to make sit on the ground correctly. There is one part which you will need from the armament of Rail Simulator/RailWorks, is the tunnel decal to break the ground under turntables and allow the well to show. To get rid of the weeds, use the grass lawn texture, if you are using default textures.
The difference between vacuum and hand operation are just graphical.

We have also produced two different wagon turntables, which just fit a wagon, now then how do you turn them, any ideas? I do! All responses are welcome on the forum and must remain in the realms/rule of communication on the site.

The water towers are Ex Midland, out of the book and I have animated the tap, swing and hose where required. The crane has a left and right swing model, so they can be line up correctly in a shed yard and work. The positioning will be a bit of trial and error to get them line to the central tank filler of tender engines (sorry, no side tank type, you will just have to fill the middle of the boiler, err!).
