BDY26 - CKPR Scenario Pack 1:
BR Steam Passenger

SP1 contains 7 scenarios based on steam passenger workings taken from the 1952 timetable, and combined give you 3 trips in each direction across the line. Whilst designed to be as prototypcial as possible, there is an element of scenario writer's licence used in places!

All scenarios are approximately of the same level of difficulty, though loadings and weather may make life slightly harder in some cases. The 2015 Penrith - Workington is in the dark. If you have the Armstrong Powerhouse lighting patch installed, route knowledge is essential.

CKPR is a tough route to drive with a steam engine, with 2 lengthy climbs and steep descents. If you are not experienced with steam engines, I suggest you drive with the F4 controls OFF and both F5 windows open, and manage your steam consumption so it is slightly less than production. On a climb, regulator at 85-90% and cut off around 40-50 will generally be sustainable. When braking, brake early using the distant signal as a last braking point.

NOTE: This scenario pack is planned to get updated in the future to remove the freeware LNWR coaching stock by Gordan Mack and to be replaced by the Steam Sounds Supreme LMS 57ft Non-Corridor Stock - BR Edition addon. The discontinued Vulcan Productions maroon mark 1s are not used in every single scenario. This scenario pack is also yet to be updated to use the Armstrong Powerhouse Mark 1 Coaching Stock instead of the now defunct Vulcan Productions Maroon Mark 1s.
